The true nature of our mind, the real quality of it, is revealing through outward work, because of that, there is lots of dirt at the bottom of the mind. They come to the surface when disturbed by the external agent. When a man gets angry, it is not that anger comes from without; it was already there within him, although it will not appear to be so. Otherwise, it would not have manifested. It reveals whether we are selfish or irritable or something else. Karma or fate is the mirror that reflects our true nature. We would rather thank it and wash our mind. We should try this continuously for the purification of mind.
Karma(activity) is very much needed to enable us to understand what state is our mind and we can remove our defects only when we become aware of it. We will gradually come to know how to remain detached while performing the work, how to continue beyond desires and passions, anger, greed, temptations and delusions. Pure karma will follow naturally and effortlessly. When detached and passionless action begins to take place frequently and effortlessly, we would not even be aware of its occurrence. When karma becomes effortless and burden less it will transform our mind to detachment state. There is no question of any strain or tensions or stress.
Yogibaba has given us a simplest method of prayer for practice to purify our mind.
“Always do the Holy Prayer by reciting nama japa either Ram, Krishna or Shiva. By reciting namajapa crores of sinners are liberated. My Father will save you. He will see that no danger befalls on you. He will protect you. Nothing, nothing, nothing will happen to you and all humanity. Lord is invisible. He can appear in any form, as He likes. However, the people of the modern world may not believe this. God should be the goal of life. We need money and other comforts. Money and other comforts should not be the goal of life. If the aim of life is clear, guidance will definitely come.
The greatest work for anyone is to stay near one’s guru and do service of Him. Through your service, transformation is going on all the time. Even though we work from one spot for peace, taking into consideration the entire cosmic movement will take place. All are moving together towards one single point, always progressing. The harmony takes place in entire cosmos through these movements for its good only. However, sometimes it may fail also due to some sudden disharmony somewhere in the cosmos and the failure is then for greater good only. Though the failure is only apparent, and if the individual has unshakable faith, the failure also will do good, greater good to him. It is the unshakable faith that works.”
